September 11th changed the world. On a beautiful fall day the world awakes to hear horrible news of the symbolic America destroyed, thousands of innocent people taking their last breaths, cries of suffering children, and the government in a panic. The realization that a time of tribulation had started swept over America. A lifetime war against deadly diseases and raging terrorists has begun. There is an interesting paradox when it comes to war in the modern world; anyone who has experienced it knows that it is about death and destruction on a massive scale. As time has lapsed the fright of a disease overtaking the population has become a wold wide scare, with the Anthrax epidemic being the biggest trepidation.
             Anthrax is a very intricate disease that is not entirely understood but those threatened by it. Anthrax is not contagious nor is it capable of disguising itself. If one is contaminated with Anthrax it is very apparent. Anthrax is a bacteria; it has a spore form called Bacillus Anthracis that is very durable. The toxins can be released in both humans and animals in a three to five stage process, depending on how the Anthrax entered the body. The first stage of the infection, lasting from hours to a few days, involves flu-like symptoms, including fever, coughing, weakness, and chest pains. The second stage usually ends in death within days. Lung damage deprives the body of oxygen. Brain infection may also occur during this stage. The third stage after contraction of anthrax, is a painless blister, which becomes black, then is becomes a pussing open sore.
