Bam

             Bam! It hits you like a brick. You never now when it is going to happen, you have no clue who, where, how, and why. Until right then, everything in your life seemed so easy. Losing a friend for the first time is one of the worst things that can and does happen to a high school senior. I am Hugo Conde and I lost a good friend of mine to a motorcycle accident. He was seventeen when it happened. He had just gotten his first motorcycle and his name was Damien Bello. I still think of him and the things that he did to make people laugh. I was so sad when I heard. This essay should be a reminder and a wake-up call to everyone that life can end in the blink of an eye. The things that took place November 30, 2001 are to be Tran scripted to paper by me for the first time.
             I will never forget that day. I was, at the time, working at Domino's Pizza and I had just gotten off of work. I went to my friend Tyler's house and we watched TV, played video games, etc. Then at around 1am we got a call. It was my brother Alex. His voice had a grim tone and thinking of the words makes me cringe. "Dude, Damien died on his bike a half an hour ago." I was shocked I ran outside and screamed at the top of my lungs. "WHY!" I shouted, but that didn't help anything. My friend died and there was nothing I could do. The following days were bad, I cried like a baby as I tried to sleep each night. I didn't know what to do, but I knew that I was going to have to get past it.
             I thought of things that had happened the week before. "Don't go too fast on that bike dude." I knew that he heard that from other people but I said it to him every time I heard him talking about it. He had gone to work not thinking anything was up but after he got off him and his other friends where going to go to a party. He had to go home to shower first and he left and agreed to meet them at the party. But he never showed up. He fle...
