One of the filthiest words I know of is "religion". I consider it dirty
because it seems to be one of the most devisive concepts/words among
humanity. More wars have been fought over "religion" than any other cause.
People who might possibly have to share something w/ one another might not
ever do so because the two do not see eye to eye on each other's spiritual
beliefs or other adjectives that seem to conflict. And I'm sure there are
other possibilities which would reap great benefits from the coming together
of minds that will never occur because we're all so hung up on our belief's
of what bogey-man created and govern's over us from some cosmic seat, but I
don't have the time to go into that sort of detail. And because we limit our
possibilities because of our clings to myths and beliefs I find that filthy
and a disgrace to our free-will to imagine a better tomorrow.
"belief" is another dirty word, but not as bad as the one mentioned
previously. I guess this is so because its a more vague version of
"religion". We tend to take belief's as truth. But they aren't. Sure they're
neat and all, but they're just that....beliefs. Nothing more. While
reinstalling my system software one day I came to the realization that
beliefs are a lot like extensions on a computer. Many of them are
incompatibale w/ the others. You can only have so many opperating at once.
As far as cleaning up our language, I don't think that is wise. It will
limit our tools of expression. Therefore, we should NOT clean-up or remove
words from our vocabulary. Instead, weak-minded individuals who's fragile
egg-shell minds get shattered by the sound patterns of particular words or
at the site of organized ink on paper (written words), those people should
learn tolarance. Society should quit catering to the whims of the majority,
because the majority of the population are MORONS. If you do not believ...
