Literature

             Literature is a museum of creative writing of recognized artistic value, and it is the foundation of clinical success to analyzing and understanding writing. When I get into the rich variety of novels, poems, and plays, which constitute English Literature we are reading, works, which have lasted for generations, or centuries, these works say something worth saying, and say it with an artistry style that maintains the flavor.
             Diversity is the ideal word to describe my literature class, with a majority of dominant African American. Although the quality and depth of the general discussion may still often frustrate many of us, it is hard to deny that there is a broad public awareness of gender, race and ethnicity in my class. The issues concerning these categories certainly remain highly debatable. It has forced me to look at the world, and my personal surroundings in a completely different light that I have ever been allowed to explore. Although it has given me a place where I am not as intimidated about speaking my mind, as I am in many situations this class have taught me to see the world in many ways.
             It is a class in which everyone's input is valued equally as opposed to one person disposing all of the information and students taking notes and spitting it back out. Dialogue is important in this class. I learned a lot about myself through learning about other people. I feel that this class is important as a haven from the classes that are more geared toward one individual.
