esence when represented Capital Youth Services with clients' parents and other professionals in youth diversion, school district and juvenile justice systems.
             According to the Handbook of the Pennsylvania Community Justice Division, the following are Caseworkers' tasks including but not limited to:
             -Screening police and citizens complaints
             -Accessing clients actions common need and prior history
             -Developing appropriate actions plans for treatment, behavior modification or services.
             -Evaluating youth progress and making recommendations to juvenile court
             -Coordinating additional social, educational or mental health services
             -Placing youth and community programs
             -Identifying employment and recreational opportunities
             I had prearranged a series of questions in preparation for the interview. The majority of questions centered on several subject matters including Ms. Winokur's job title and duties, her dealings with juveniles, and any existence of sexism in the workplace. My first initiative was to get Ms. Winokur's interpretation and description of a Juvenile Case Workers duty. Her reply was "In the Youth Service Agency, a Case Manager Supervisor is given youths who have been in trouble with the law. It is the Case Managers job to attempt to get the youth back on track. The Case Manager Supervisor is also in charge of other Case Managers throughout the Agency".
