, Christian love, is a love most regular people may not comprehend. God's love is agape.
             Agape love - Christian love - is unconditional love. The concept of this is to love everybody, regardless. There are no exceptions, God's people are to love the sick, the needy, those they know, and those they do not know. Above all, Christians are to love those who do not love them.
             " ....love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you". 2
             God wants his children to love their enemies, those who hate them. Christians should not hate those who hate them, that would be disobeying God's word. Christians are to love and pray for those who abuse them, for this will show the abusers the way to the light of God.
             Christians are to follow God's word of "do for others just what you want them to do for you".3 This means that if someone were to "....hit your cheek", a Christian is to "...let them hit the other one too" and "if someone takes your coat, let him have your shirt as well". 4 Following this word of God also means that a person should " Give to everyone who asks you for something, and when someone takes what is yours, do not ask for it back".
             Loving your enemies when they do not return the act seems extremely ridiculous. Why should a Christian have to do such a thing? What is the point? God has an answer for that .
             "If you love only those who love you back, why should you receive a blessing? Even sinners love those who love them." 6 What God is saying is that if you treat those who hate you with the same hate, you are on the same level as them - the level of the sinner. However, if you treat them as you want them to treat you, with love and respect, you will be on a much higher plateau, thus making you a better person, as well as a better Christian.
