rom viewing these results, I noticed an absence of schools in the investigated area of Addiscombe whereas there were three schools present in Sanderstead. This may suggest the presence of a younger population in Sanderstead than in Addiscombe and in addition, Addiscombe may have a larger working aged population.
             In my hypothesis, I predicted that the housing in Sanderstead will be of better quality and there would be more detached houses than in Addiscombe because Sanderstead is further away from the Croydon City Centre and therefore less demand for land.
             Looking at results on housing for both suburbs, (graph 4 and 5), show that there are a lot more two bedroom houses in Addiscombe than in Sanderstead (2 bedroom houses: Addiscombe=14 and Sanderstead=9).
             Graph 5 also shows that there are about six times more three bedroom houses in Sanderstead than in Addiscombe (3 bedroom houses: Addiscombe=2 and Sanderstead=13). There was a total absence of 4 and 5 bedroom houses in Addiscombe whereas in Sanderstead there were 2 four bedroom and 5 five bedroom houses.
