Lying in the Bibile

             There are many different stories in the Bible that involves people lying, with the best examples being the Story of Adam and Eve. In Jacob's life, there are many instances when Jacob was young where he lied to his father Isaac and his brother Ishmael. Jacob's 12 sons lied to Jacob about selling Joseph to slaves traders. In the story of Esau and Jacob, Jacob deceitfully lied to Isaac into giving Jacob the birthright instead of Esau. Lies in the bible also teaches people a very important lesson because even the holiest of people in the bible lie.
             Am accurate example of lying in the bible is the Story of Esau and Jacob. Isaac and Rebecca were married and had twin sons. The first twin that was delivered first was Esau; the second was Jacob who came out right after him. Because Esau was born first, he was theoldest son and had the right of the birthright. Esau became a hunter, while Jacob stayed at home and helped his mother his house chores. One day, Esau came back to his house after a long day of hunting. Esau was desperately hungry and immediately smelled Jacob's stew that he was cooking all day. Esau immediately asked Jacob for some stew. Jacob agreed but only under one condition: if Esau sold his birthright to Jacob. Being unfair and deceitful to Esau, Esau agreed to sell his birthright, just because he was terribly hungry, and Jacob gave him a nice bowl of his soup. As years went on, Isaac was getting older and was about to die. So one day, Isaac called for Esau so
             that he could give Esau his birthrights. Now Rebecca loved Jacob more and wanted Jacob to have the birthrights instead of Esau. So, when Esau was out in the field hunting, Rebecca got some of Esau's clothes
             and out them on Jacob. And because Esau was very hairy, she covered Jacob's neck and arms with hair because Esau was hairy and sent Jacob to Isaac. Isaac was blind, so he could not see Jacob. Jacob knelt in front of his father and Isa...
