Ringggggg. Ringggggg. Ringggggggg. The morning alarm starts its job at exactly six in the morning. Its job is not over, yet. The snooze button is a gift from God. With a light push, the piercing alarm is quiet and the room is tranquil, giving me the required silence and time to add another fifteen minutes to my "beauty sleep". Some might argue that the extra fifteen minutes don't help, but au contraire, it does wonder. When the alarm comes to life once again, I look out the window, then at the alarm, then out the window again, then at the alarm. After about five minutes of switching scenery between the window and alarm, thinking what a waste it is to get up when it's still so dark out, I drag myself out of bed, yawn, stretch and slowly make my way to the bathroom. The master suit that I am blessed with makes it easier for me to start my bathroom routine. The bathroom is not a long hike, thus saving me from the pain of the possibility of walking into the wall. Once is too many. When I am safe in the bathroom, I quickly turn on the heater to save myself from dying of the piercing cold, and I turn on the shower. I test the water to see if it's warm enough for my bare body to handle. Not long ago, I jumped in a little too fast, without testing the temperature, and I experienced what must have felt like needles poking all over my skin. Never shall I be stupid again. I get in the shower with the hope that it will be the magical drug that will revive and give me energy for the day.
The warm shower only makes me want to forever remain in its place. It does, however, give me a chance to think. I consider all my options. Is school really that important today? What am I going to learn in class? And my famous one: I wonder if I can turn this assignment in tomorrow. After fifteen minutes of self-debate in the shower, I dry myself off and realizing that I am now smelling good, I might as well just get ready.
