e kids will frequently use their credit cards unwisely, but they don't care. They don't care because they know one of two things will most likely happen. Number one, daddy or mommy will bail them out by paying the bill, which will do nothing but reinforce the student's uneducated spending habits or: Outcome number two (which happened to my older brother and his friends) that students will initially not pay the bills but will eventually end up paying them a couple of years later after they realize they have bad credit and can't ever get a car or rent a house without improving it. Every time you turn on your television or radio today, we are bombarded by these advertisements. In the economic boom we are currently experiencing, described by the FED as a growth of 8% in the last year, peoples desire to "shop till you drop" is increasing. Consumers are spending more than ever, especially on luxury items. And how are we paying for it? You guessed it, plastic. More than ever, people are depending on credit to make purchases they cant afford now. While most of society may be able to handle debt, one group of people that cannot is college students.
             Money. Its quite possibly the biggest concern college students have today. We've all heard about it, the stuff doesn't grow on trees, rather it burns a whole in our pockets. While in college, most students have little to no income. But it seems like everyone and their brother is quick to hand you a credit card with a five thousand dollar credit limit. You may ask yourself, why is that? The reason is when students go off to college, they are going to enhance their education. With this education, comes the chance for a better job in the future, and the opportunity to make more money as well.
