             What does this mean to be born again?
             According to the American Protestant Christian tradition to be born again is to experience the basic Christian experience. This is the point when the Christian life starts. Christians maintain that people due to their sinful nature are doomed to eternal condemnation. As they are unable to help themselves to be saved Jesus Christ - God's son needed to die on the cross for the mankind. According to the Bible he died for everyone who lived and was to be born in the future. By accepting the truth that God's only son was crucified and died for the mankind is the initial phase of Christianity. The moment of life when people understand and want to accept the aforementioned truth is perceived as the moment of regretting the sins and finally, seeing no other solution, accepting the God's gift which is Christ's crucifixion.
             Depending on the church denomination after the act of understanding the God's grace the new-believers are said to experience or better to say feel emotions concerning this event. For an outsider these emotions are mystical if not magical powers. For Christians, however they are to confirm the state of being born again in a way. What comes later is strengthening in the Christian life and sharing the God's mercy with other non-believers.
