The World Trade Organization(WTO) is the only global international organization working with the rules of trade between nations. It is sought to help producers of goods and services, exporters, and importers to be able to conduct their business. It is responsible for the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed the world's trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. Government members go to the WTO to try to figure out the problems in trade and the problems they may come upon with each other but the WTO dose not just deal in liberalizing trade, the rules also back up trade barriers which help prevent the spread of disease that could harms consumers. Basically ever thing the WTO dose is based on negotiations. A huge part of WTO work came from an older negotiation called the Uruguay Round(1986-94)and the earlier negotiations under GATT (General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade) But, WTO currently host new negotiations. Under "Doha Development Agenda" launched in 2001.Trade relations often involve conflicting interests. Agreements, including those painstakingly negotiated in the WTO system, often need interpreting. The most harmonious way to settle these differences is through some neutral procedure based on an agreed legal foundation. That is the purpose behind the dispute settlement process written into the WTO agreements.
             The WTO was founded on January 1, 1995, but the system is a half a century old. Since 1948, the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) had provided the rules for the system. After an unofficial, international organization, also known as GATT was made. Over the years GATT grew through several rounds of negotiations.
             The last and largest GATT round was the Uruguay Round which led to the WTO's creation. GATT had mainly dealt with trade in goods, the WTO and its agreements now cover trade in services, and in traded inventions, creations and designs (intellectual property).
