Born in the early 1980's, I would have to say that I consider myself to be a member of that magical decade the 80's, or the end of the disco era. The generation of the 80's will be long remembered not only for its music (flamboyant, lively and whimsical) but also for the socioeconomic changes began to shape not only the decade but the end of the century into the next. Our generation will be remember for both our own great leaders those throughout the world that shaped us and the world, it will be remember as the decade that brought the end of communism after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the beginning of the new Russian Republic. It will be era of many wars, famine and terrorism, let us not forget Lockerbee Scotland, the beginning of the war in Yugoslavia, the fast approaching forth closing of American Imperialism in Latin America with the beginning of the last decade of American sovereignty over the Panama Canal. But also will be known as the era of hope for Israel, Palestine and the Arabs, as they came together to commence their peace talks.
             In fashion, the 80's was a Preppie look; people used name brands such as Dior, Raulph Lauren, Pasta, Guess, Gucci, Izod, and Lacoste. Some of the styles were Loop pants, Ties with square bottoms, Rock star pins and Tube skirts. These were some of the most popular item's that were used in the 80's. People would wear different kinds of jewelry such as watch rings, and rings with there initials on it. Purses didn't have any straps on them they had the ones that are called "Clutch Purses" which are purses that you put under your underarms.
