My prison is a medium security prison. This prison that I chose to build only holds a maximum of three hundred inmates. My prison is located in Worcestor, Massachutes. I picked this area because that is were I was born. This is a men's prison only. The charges for this prison are for non violent drugs charges. The sentencing is only for two to five years.
             Each inmate has his own cell. The cell has a toliet, a sink, and a small locker for his belongings. The cell is secured by a glass door that way when it is time for lock down the inmates stay in their cell. The doors are run by a correctional officer on watch. Unless there is a fight then the inmates are locked down for 24 hours.
             Generally, the prison compounds are open at 6:00am, when the cells doors are opened and the inmates are then allowed to go to the chow hall for breakfast. After the inmates eat their breakfast they then can have access to the recreational areas. During this time the inmates can play basketball, football, or even exercise.
             When recreation time is over the inmates are mandated to attend the programs. All programs are offered in one building. Some of the programs offered are Stress/anger Management, Thresholds(addresses decision-making skills), and Parenting Skills. Then, under Drug and Alcohol Programs; there is Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Help Counseling, Veterans Drug and Alcohol, Treatment Alternatives to Street Crime (TASC), and Treatment Alternatives to Prison (TAP). All these programs are offered in group and individual sessions giving the inmates the opportunity to address their own specific problems so that they can make the necessary changes in their lives to re-enter society in a positive and constructive nature.
