When you take a class or when you are trying to make new friends it is important to be open-minded. Not always are you going to have all the right answers or know how to do everything. In my case, I had to be open-minded to the ideas of religion.
             My mom found this new church. I went there every weekend I was with my mom. It wasn't half bad! We would stand and sing for about twenty minutes and then we would listen to the pastor. The things he would talk about actually had to do with our current atmosphere and day to day living guidelines, such as how to spend your money wisely, divorce, making tough decisions, and other things that made me feel when I walked out of church that Sunday I knew something I could change in my life to make me become a better all around Christian. I considered myself a Christian. I was involved in the youth group. I went to Church those Sundays when I was at my moms. Wasn't that enough?
             I got invited to go to a church camp in Tennessee for a week. We stayed at a community college and took classes each day. Once a day we would meet in this big auditorium and sing and listen to a speaker. There was about 1000 Christian High Schoolers from all over the United States at this one camp. It was awesome to be in an atmosphere so positive and uplifting. At night we had what was called "His Time" where we would talk within our youth group about what we were thinking about or what god was showing us that day. God had me thinking, "Should I move and live with my mom so I could go to church every Sunday and be more involved in the community of our church?" I had been attending this church for a long time now, but I never really was considered a member. After a week of opening my mind to so many ideas and situations at camp I gave my life to Christ and was baptized in a huge fountain on the campus. The whole trip was an amazing experience.
