What is marraige

Marriage is a socially recognized and approved union between two individuals of the opposite sex making them man and wife. It is a serious decision taken by a couple who feel that they love trust and have a mutual respect for each other to the extent that they promise to live together for the rest of their lives. The church's view of marriage is that it is a gift from God, blessed by Christ and it is a symbol of Christ's relationship with the church. A Christian marriage has a two-fold purpose: fellowship with each other and parenthood.
"But at the beginning of creation God made them male and female. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and can be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together let no man separate." The bible also states that man and woman were crated for one another and it is not good that man should be alone. The woman flesh of his flesh, his counterpart, his equal, is given to him by God as a helpmate. Marriage is not an institution for owning a person. So the Christian view of marriage is that it is an unbreakable union of two lives by recalling the plan the Creator had for us. Therefore marriage is all about the understanding and love for each other. In order for a marriage to become healthy and prosper both parties should come together in combining their effort to strengthen their relationships.
