Imagine that your best friend told you that he had started taking anti-depressant pills, because his parents are having problems, he thinks his parents expect too much, and he thinks his life sucks. What would you have done? Would you want him to know that you won't tell anyone because you care about him or, would you want him to know you care enough about him to get him help? Once in awhile, people get stuck in situations like these. When is it ok to tell, not to tell, or just too close to call?
             There are times when your friends trust you with information that can harm themselves or others, but even if they are having trouble with their parents, there is no reason to start taking drugs. When this occurs, the right thing to do would be to tell someone the situation or what happened or anything like that. Anytime someone is harming themselves, and especially others, it is not okay. Someone who can, and will help should be notified immediately. Sometimes you have to think of what will be best in the long run.
             Whenever a person tells you a secret, they're putting their trust in you, like if they were telling you that their life is miserable because his parents expect too much of him; if he is having problems with anything then you should try and comfort them and tell them that everything is okay and try to convince them not to do this. This could harm his life and the life of others, such as his parents. If they ever found out that he was doing this then they would never except it and would not be able to take it. So I don't think I would say anything about it because it could get around and maybe to his parent. If it got really bad then I think I would say something. Otherwise I would just try and convince him not to do it.
             Now and then, you'll get stuck in a situation like this, where you're not exactly sure what to do, like if a person told you that they didn't like their life
