"Joseph and His Brothers", Genesis 37, 39-50 is a work of writing believed to have many different issues and/or problems. To many, this biblical story seems to be more complex than it really is. People recurrently analyze this story and go pass its true meaning. But surely, the central theme of this story is found in Genesis 45: 7-8, where Joseph tells his brothers, "God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth, and to keep alive for you many survivors. So it was not you who sent me here, but God; he has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt." Through this quote Joseph explains that everything terrible that he had to go through was done by God. And that only God turned all the harsh experiences into greatness. Overall, there are frequent examples supporting the main thesis and revealing the only possible explanation for all events.
             The first event that exemplifies God's doing is Joseph's ability to interpret dreams. There is no possible way to explain this, other than this is a gift from God. Also, nowhere in the story do they explain why Joseph is his father's favorite. The only possible answer lies in that God made Joseph different from his brothers and thus, most admired of all.
             After being sold, Joseph ends up at Potiphar's house. It then states, "The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man." Because he was favored by the Egyptian master, he was appointed as the overseer of the master's property. But how is it possible for the master to trust a complete stranger, especially a foreigner. Solely, it is all God's will. There is not a sane explanation that can break down this deed.
             Overall, throughout the story, God made Joseph's life a roller coaster. He made him go from prison to gaining authority of all the land of Egypt. He also caused a famine and brought ...
