Work ethics

             Savannah Technical College has ten very important Work Ethics Policies. These policies were designed to help you have a greater opportunity to help you succeed in the work place. All of the policies are significant if you plan on working your way up the success latter. The one I strongly believe in are character, communication, and leadership skills. These skills reflect on your educational up bringing.
             Your character skills reflect also on your attitude, appearance, and attendance. Character is one important key that the employers are looking for. If you are an honest, reliable, and respectable person people will have a positive outlook on your character. If you are a tardy and rude person people will have a negative look at your character. Employers will not put up with disrespectful behavior. On a bad day at work one should put on there "Stage Face," and be ready and willing.
             Communication also plays a great deal when you are answering telephone, greeting clients, and speaking in meetings with other employees. Where ever you work eye contact and great verbal communication skills with the client is very important. Ebonics and slang words shouldn't be used at the work place because it is not professional. Clients are listening and watching you and how you speak to them reflects the company you work for. Great communication skills will take you a very long way in life as well as on the job.
             Leadership skills play an important role if you plan advancing within the company. Everything you say or do is being watched and evaluated. Not losing your cool in an irate situation shows great leadership skills. going the extra mile to make sure a client is satisfied will help you get farther in the company. Having a good professional relationship with your supervisor and fellow employees is good, it shows the supervisor that you are able to follow the chain of command.
