Malcom X vs. Odysseus

             Malcolm X an African American rights leader, Odysseus, traveled the seas for many years both of these men were spoken highly of and were very courageous and ambitious people. Malcolm was an African American who lived during segregation between African Americans ands Caucasian Americans. Odysseus was a king of an island named Ithaca. Malcolm and Odysseus can be compared in many ways. For example, their personalities were alike. Their way of living sort of favored. Also their leadership qualities had great similarities. These next few paragraphs will reveal the comparisons and differences between Malcolm X and Odysseus.
             Malcolm was a man was a "pimp" in his earlier years, he was insubordinate to the law and also had a temper. After he was put in jail for a count of eight to ten years for sleeping with "white" women, he finally found his refuge in the nation of Islam. While Odysseus reined over Ithaca he had to take his soldiers overseas to fight a war in another island called Troy. Odysseus was as stubborn as a mule, yet as cunning as a fox. Odysseus was a bit antagonistic and disrespectful when it came to some of the gods and giving them honor for all helping him out during his long battle in Troy. Just as Odysseus is stubborn Malcolm is in like manner. Both Malcolm and Odysseus were to blind by their audacity that they put their lives in danger as well as others. For example, even though Malcolm knew people were out to kill him he still went about his life the same way with very little protection. Odysseus wanted to stay on the island to se Polyphemous, one of the giant Cyclopes, knowing that full well it may cost him his life.
             Odysseus and Malcolm X's leadership qualities also favor in many ways. Malcolm X was a prime leader of the nation of Islam at one point and had many followers. When he first became a speaker he spoke on African-Americans hating Caucasian Americans. After he spen
