Who's To Blame in Benny's Death?
             Was it his manager? Was it his opponent? Did Benny Paret kill himself by fighting too much in a short time period? Or was there someone else to blame? Benny Paret was a famous boxer who was killed in the ring in the twelfth round by several spine-tingling, knock-out blows directly to the head. He slipped into a coma, and was rushed to the hospital. While at the hospital, he died shortly after he arrived there.
             Benny was always on the audiences' top list of fighters that they wanted to see. And a fight was what they got when Benny entered the ring. He was a killer, an executioner, he gave the crowd what they wanted, blood coming from everywhere, the eyes, mouth, nose, teeth flying out and landing on the stage. He was raw. That's the reason that they came to the fights was to see action. If they didn't get it they would go into a frenzy. Officials would be "booed" out of the ring, and sales would be lost. Therefore what ever the crowd wanted they got, at whatever the cost.
             Some might put the blame on the referee, for if he had stopped the fight before those deadly punches were delivered, Paret might've continued to live and go on fighting. On the other hand if the official had stopped the fight the audience would've gone into an uproar, for again, the only reason that they came to the fights was to see the blood and gore of the slugfest. They didn't want to see some officiator stopping a fight just before it started to get "good". The crowd controlled the situation, in any and every aspect of the fight in one way or another.
             Again some might try to place the blame on Benny's opponent. The man who delivered those heart-stopping deadly blows. Now granted he was the one who "killed" Benny, but if the audience had not have wanted to see so much violence in the fight, his opponent would not have tried to ...
