Religion Todaqy

             Religion in today's world is everywhere and it has been a huge topic of controversy here in the United States as well as worldwide. After the recent events of September eleventh, the religion controversies seem to be popping up in all sorts of areas all over the world, as well as here in the United States. No one has the right answer since we are a country of freedom, and the right to choose your own form of religion.
             Since the tragic events of September eleventh not only has there been an uprising in the number of people that are returning to church but the number of people that are attending church for the first time has also increased dramatically. The tragic events of September eleventh really brought back the need for faith and spirituality here in our country, and it changed the world forever. Not only were the changes in religion felt here but over in Iraq as well. They are now granted the freedom to believe in whatever they choose. They are no longer forced to believe in what they are told. They have been given free will. There will be recurring tragic events over in Iraq for some time to come until they have had a chance to learn to control their own country and the terrorists are forced out or captured. Countries around the world have felt this type of pain from religious wars throughout time.
             With all of the controversy in the world over religion and the integration of religion in government there has been some controversy over religion due to the removal of some monumental pieces of history based on religious. The removal of the historical Ten Commandments monument from the state Supreme Court building by the U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson who ruled the granite carving was an unconstitutional endorsement of religion.
