MacBeth

             MacBeth had a lot of problems and conflicts during his reign. Although some were worse than others, they all brought him to his downfall. Internally MacBeth had to deal with his conscience, he had to live with what he had done to Duncan. At first what MacBeth had done really was eating away at him, but once he became King, he grew into it and it didn't bother him anymore. Lady MacBeth and MacBeth were complete opposites when it came to this matter, because Lady MacBeth was really bothered by it after a while.
             I think the early signs that shows that MacBeth was worried was when he kept saying "amen" when Duncan's body was found. I think another hint was when he saw Banquo's ghost at the banquet. There were many other small signs that proved that MacBeth was uncomfortable about the situation, for example another one was his paranoia, MacBeth was always skeptical.
             I think some signs that showed that MacBeth had become use to his position, was when he started killing off everyone that he thought was in his way. Even though this was part of his paranoia, he now didn't have second thoughts when it came to killing somebody, like McDuff's family. I think that when he heard the three apparitions, that really gave him confidence because he felt like no one could hurt him.
             Along with MacBeth's internal conflicts, he also had external ones. I think the main conflict would be the three witches. When they told MacBeth that he would be king one day, he felt that he had to take the initiative to bring it to him, instead of letting fate handle it. This to me was MacBeth's first mistake and one that he would pay for.
             I think that another external conflict was his wife. Lady MacBeth drove MacBeth to do things that he really didn't want to do. He didn't want to become king as bad as he thought he did, but his wife filled his head with how good it would be for them. Lady ...
