Abortion can be defined as the termination of pregnancy and expulsion of an embryo or of a fetus that is incapable of survival. It can also be defined as the premature expulsion of a nonviable fetus from the uterus, which can also be called a miscarriage. Abortion could also be defined as the cessation of normal growth, especially of an organ or other body part, prior to full development or maturation. The people who take part in abortion are doctors, the father of the child, and the mother of the child. In all this definitions and the people who take part in this act of abortion, the underlying question still remains: Is abortion right or wrong?
A young teenage girl goes out and has unprotected sex with a boy. She then finds out a few days later that she is pregnant. She is scared, panics, and looks for solutions and answers to the present situation in which she finds herself. She goes to the boy who she had sex with, but he turns her down and tell her to get out and leave him alone, leaving her to face the situation alone. She is scared to go to her family, because she is afraid of what they will say or do to her. In fear, desperation and frustration, she turn to her last place of advice, she goes to her friends for advice. Some of her friends tell to keep the baby; some tell her to abort the baby. She is then left in a situation in which she has to choose what the right thing to do is, to either keep the baby, or to abort the baby. This fictional situation brings out different views on the topic of abortion; this is because different people have different opinions on this topic. I carried out a survey, presenting this situation to different people in order to get their position on the topic of abortion.
Some people say that abortion is right and should be allowed to be practiced on a large scale. They say that abortion is a solution for people who have slipped up, and need to cover their mistake
