Flood of Genesis and the Epic of Gilgamesh
             There were two much known floods in old times when God created the world. One of the floods happened in Genesis which is a story about when God created the world and Noah's arc is involved in it and the other flood happened in the Epic of Gilgamesh which is a completely different story an the flood happens because one of the God's is angry.
             The flood that occurs is the flood in the Epic of Gilgamesh. This flood occurred because the council of the gods wanted to destroy mankind. Ea told Utnapishtim to build an enormous boat and make all living beings go up in to the boat. It must be ten dozen cubits the height of each of the walls and ten dozen cubits each edge of the square deck and six decks divided into seven parts. The cause of the flood was because of man's sins. The sender of this flood was the assembly of "gods". The way Utnapishtim knew there was a flood coming was because he saw it in one of his dreams. The height of the boat was seven stories high, there were many compartments inside and there was only one door, and the shape of the boat was a cube. The people inside the boat were family members and a few other people, there was heavy rain for 6 days and 6 nights, when it was over they released the birds to go out and find land and it was found on Mt. Nisir.
             On the other hand there is the flood of Genesis which the cause was man's wickedness and it was intended for all mankind. The sender of this flood was Yahweh and the name of the hero was Noah. This flood was announced by God directly ot Noah and he tells him to build a boat which was called Noah's arc. This arc was three stories high unlike the Gilgamesh which was seven stories high. It was shaped as an oblong box and unlike the Gilgamesh boat, God ordered him to only take in his family members and all kinds of land animals. There was underground water and a lot of heavy rain.
