Hallucinogenic Drugs: What and How

There are many different kinds of hallucinogenic drugs. Some examples that I would like to talk about are L.S.D., Cocaine, P.C.P. and Peyote. L.S.D. is a man made drug that has been abused for its hallucinogenic properties since the 1960's. If consumed in a large enough dose, LSD will produce illusions and distort the user's sense of time and identity.
LSD is classified as a synthetic psychedelic, derived from ergot fungus, it is the most powerful conscious-altering substance known to man. A dose of LSD is measured in micrograms or millionths of a gram. One ounce of LSD contains enough doses for 300,000 adults. The survey also revealed that many teenagers and young adults use LSD-742,000 individuals aged 12 to 17 and 4.5 million individuals aged 18 to 25 used the drug at least once.
Cocaine, another kind of hallucinogenic drug is typically, in its pure form, a white crystalline powder extracted from the leaves of the South American coca plant. On the street, pure cocaine is diluted or "cut" with other substances to increase the quantity, and thereby increase the profits of its sellers. (ADA)
Cocaine users most often inhale the powder sharp
