Women studies

Women have never stopped making advances in women's rights. However since the seventies it's like we have been taking baby steps to get to where we want to be. Every time women take a step forward, they get pushed back. The government does not make it especially easy on women to make advances. Women have their own voices and strong ones at that, but it's society who refuses to listen. Back in the seventies this wasn't as true; women hardly had their own voices.
Home was not the only place where children were taught how to act gender appropriate, school was a big factor. When students would take classes women were to sign up for cooking and childcare, while men were to perform task such as building things and fixing cars. They boys page was darker colors and had science games. The girls pages were pinks and colorful and had girls vanities and kitchens. Gender discrimination is forced upon children so young it's all they know.

Men were not allowed to teach the younger level because they were thought to not be trusted with them. Male dominance in the work place can still be seen today. It is very rare for you to see a women president in at a University.
