What would you do if the life of a loved one were in your hands? A loved one who would be condemned to life as a vegetable if you did not decide to pull the plug on them. Under what circumstances would you use euthanasia to take the lives of others? Euthanasia is sometimes decided by the person long before anything wrong occurs. This however does not ensure the decision of the person at the time being. Euthanasia should not be allowed unless the person is conscious of it, at the time of it.
             Imagine you are in a comma, you are fully conscious of it, however you find no way to response to the outer world. Would you want your family members to pull the plug on you? Yet, suddenly you realize that in your life insurance papers you clearly state that if you happen to be in a coma for more than three months you wish your family members to let you go. Would you still want to stop living because of a possible temporary comma? Possibly a day or two after the three months were up you would have come back to life. If the person whose life is in danger is not conscious of what is happening or cannot do anything about it then euthanasia should not take place.
             But unlike a comma other similar cases may be painful. Such pain and torture that it may be impossible for a person to resist it. Up to the point where one would desire to take their own life and end their suffering. To some, this may be considered suicide but to others this is just another way of euthanasia. In my moral thoughts this would be acceptable, since the person is clearly aware of what is happening and fully accepts it. That person would not be committing suicide, as to what I believe, because they are only acting upon their pain and suffering and should be allowed to end it whenever they wish.
