A new social world I have explored is the Quaker church. I visited the Quaker church many moons ago. Actually, it was only last week. I remember the church was kind of like my church in the way that it's best if you showed up every Sunday and did not fall asleep when the pastor is giving his sermon. During the church hour I was seated towards the back of the church just in case I drifted off to sleep, I would not be seen by the pastor. One time I went with a friend to a family reunion in Wisconsin and we attended the catholic church in a small town and before I even knew I had fallen asleep. It was really bad when I even snored a little bit. His dad ended up kicking me awake.
The church had many pews in the church for seating. There is also a balcony for people to sit when the church gets overly full. I noticed that this church's altar was rather small compared to the pretty good sized altar at my church. While I was sitting there in church I overheard a conversation of some little children who at their age didn't really know to be quiet at church. These young children were talking about how if they were good and sat quietly their grandmother would take them to breakfast at McDonalds. That reminded me of the days when my mom would give me the same bribe. After I heard the kids talking about breakfast I couldn't wait to get home and eat the breakfast my mom had cooking at that very moment. It was no McDonalds but I got to say that it was pretty close to being just as good. The kids started to annoy me with all there talking in the beginning of church but lucky for me and lucky for them they began to quiet down and whisper to each other.
The Quaker church was much smaller than my church. This church probably held three hundred people. The church I usually attend could hold probably close to a thousand. The Quaker church I attended was mainly made up of old people. The whole basis of the church was pretty differ...
