             The gift of life is not bought, traded, or even found. It is something given to you that is rightfully yours. Everyone has the inherent right to life, even unborn babies. However, abortions take this right away. Each year many babies are killed, because of abortions. Last year about 2 million were performed in the US. Sadly, it seems that people cannot see how valuable life is. It is hard to believe there is a law that allows mothers to simply throw their unborn babies' lives away.
             In an abortion, a tube is inserted into the mother's womb to suck out the fetus and placenta into a jar. Though there are many other ways that seem less complex, such as the non-surgical technique that involves a pill, they do not hide the truth that they have taken the life of an innocent baby. It is hard to believe that this murderous practice is legal. The act of murder itself is unacceptable in society. So then why are many innocent babies being killed every year? There are many excuses to this question, such as the scenario where a young teenager isn't ready for a baby. Though this may be true, she should not destroy an innocent baby's chance at life, just because she doesn't want to ruin her own by having this child. People say that abortion is the only way, but have they ever heard of adoption? As mentioned before, about 2 million abortions were performed in the previous year, but at the same time, there are 2 million couples waiting to adopt, and most of the time, they are willing to take in more that one child. Two million lives could have been spared. Mothers do not have to choose the path of death for their babies; they can let their babies survive and give them to families who are willing to take care of them. So why are so many mothers putting their babies to death rather than putting them up for adoption?
