The Global Environment is under threat. Do you support the Environmentalists or are they exaggerating the Dangers?
            
             In today's world the global environment is faced with many problems. Solving these problems is very important because the global environment is the world. Some people, environmentalists think that we need to treat the world better because it is in such bad condition. Other people think that these problems are being exaggerated and we don't need to do anything about it.
            
             Environmentalists have been concerned with the many problems that the environment is facing, such as "The Greenhouse Effect" and many more. Since the "Big Bang", the climate has changed enormously. Temperatures have risen, desertation is extending, and the poles are melting. This has mainly been caused by the increase of gases in the atmosphere. The highest increase has been achieved since the "Industrial Revolution", with all the smoke of the factories. All the gases in the atmosphere have meant that "Greenhouse Effect" has taken place. This is caused when the sun's rays get in the atmosphere but can't get out because they are reflected back from the gases. This cause the heat to be retained in the atmosphere, so there is an increase in temperature. If there is an increase in temperature this means the poles will start to melt, so there will be an increase in the sea levels and many islands and regions will be covered by the sea. More atmospheric phenomenons are taking place such as more volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Droughts are becoming regular and when it rains hard producing a lot of floods, and these have also caused a loss of material possessions and many people have lost their lives.
