It seems that to be successful in life, you need to have a certain amount of luck. Paul first realized this when he asked his mother why they don't keep a car of their own? He became so successful in picking winning horses, even horses against great odds; that his uncle began to notice and ask questions. Paul informed his uncle that all he did was ride on his rocking horse until it became clear to him who the winner would be. Paul's uncle was hesitant at first, but after seeing Paul sure on his horse betting, and consistently winning, eventually started betting on the same horses that Paul did.
