             This is a dynamic industry in a country with nothing to lose, and absolutely everything to gain
             by the economic growth the maquilas may provide. It is their fastest-growing industry, but
             Hondurans watch skeptically as the garment industry brings the benefit of industrialization as
             well as its woes. Proponents welcome the "massive job creation" the industry has brought, even
             pushing other industries forward in banking and building (The Economist p.1). In the late 1980s
