It is not a fallacy to state that voyeurism is indeed a popular issue in today's sexually oriented society. The reason for one's interest in viewing sexual objects may be the fact that sex, in a broad sense, is overly exposed. No matter what we do and where we go it is virtually impossible to avoid since it is the hot topic of the public and private eye. Not only is it seen on the big-screen, but every now and then we see it on national television and in magazines as well as being easily accessible on the Internet. So from these sources it is no wonder how one may overcome an obsession of voyeurism to derive sexual pleasure from observing other people who engage in sexual acts.
             Voyeurism and curiosity are similar in terms of sex seeing that it is normal to be curious and to have sexual fetishes. The only difference between the two is that a voyeur is gleaning a feeling from what he or she is watching where as the curious are collecting some information from what they are watching. But once it reaches the extent of perversion such as observing the act from a distance with the object of their voyeurism being unaware, then one can conclude that it is utterly repulsive and immoral. Not only is it morally wrong, it could also be a serious offense.
             In concluding the subject matter of voyeurism being the main focus in our society, it is simply because "sex sells." Despite the immorality and unlawfulness of this deviant act it will continue to rise in contemporary society. Therefore, the elevated demand for sexual characteristics by television and movie viewers enable broadcasting companies to televise what is sought.
