In The catholic religion, many ceremonies take place throughout one's life. A certain ceremony called the first communion is one that one must go through. In order to do communion one must be baptized, have gone through confirmation and penitence. Baptism gives us sanctified grace and erases the original sin of the soul. Confirmation gives us strength to defend our faith like good soldiers of Christ. Penitence erases all sins committed after baptism. Finally, the first communion lets one receive the body and blood of Christ for the first time.
             In order to do a good communion one needs three things. One, one must not have any mortal sins. Two, you must save the Eucharistic fasting. Which mean a person shall not eat or drink before receiving the body of Christ. Three, one must take the body of Christ with devotion.
             The process for the first communion begins with registering at church for the communion classes. There is a registering fee to be paid. Then once registered, we receive communion groups. Every group usually consists of ten people and attends class for a year.
             During classes, we are taught the word of God. Studies consist of prayer and the Ten Commandments the rules of God have written for us to live by. They also give us homework based on what was studied that day. Like school, homework is expected the next class day.
             After attending class for one year a test is given to find out whether or not you are ready for your communion. This test consists of questions regarding God and his life. Prayer and the Ten Commandments were expected to be known. If you pass the test, then comes confession. One goes to a priest to confess one's sins. After this, you are ready for your first communion.
