1. The dictionary states that the word castle means: a building serving a home for a nobleman in feudal times, large stately residence. This means that Australian's value their house as much as their lives. It's what gives them joy and makes them happy. As Darryl K said "You can acquire a house but you cannot acquire a home." A home is a place to entertain, to bring you closest friends, a place there you can relax. "It's not a house it's a home. People who love each other, care for each other, great memories and somewhere to come back to." The scene when a messenger came around and the son came out with a gun to tell him you 'go away', shows hows much the son valued his house.

             3. The film is based on the old fashion way of life. The man is the backbone of the family and what dad says goes. He is the money man and the worker of the family. Everyone respects what he says and listen to his instructions. This is demonstrated in the movie when Darryl bought the holiday home in Donydoon. The wife didn't want it as he was the man of the house he got him way. The women's role in the film is the typical house wife.
