             Every morning, many Americans engage themselves in an enormously long drive thru line at Starbucks. As soon as people get their favorite cup of coffee, suddenly the impatience and sleepiness are gone away and finally the world seems clear. To the average American, drinking coffee is a daily habit to keep oneself awake throughout the day. And it is obvious that college students and faculties are also fans of coffee as we can tell by those busy coffee stands around the campus in the mornings. For years, I used to be a coffee lover, but after realizing the implications of drinking this roasted bean, and learning about the benefits of drinking tea, I was able to break off my daily coffee drinking habit. Today, based on my research and experience, I'm going to convince you to drink tea instead of coffee. I will do this by explaining first, why coffee is not good for your health, and second, the benefits you will get from drinking tea, and finally, I'll introduce you to the well known, and my favorite tea, known as "green tea."
             Jack Bukowksi, an immunologist at the Brigham and Women's hospital, examined the blood of coffee and tea drinkers by exposing it to bacteria in the lab and comparing samples taken before the study to those taken two weeks later. Bukowksi found that tea drinkers made five times more interferon after they started drinking tea compared to before drinking tea. He also tried to see if coffee worked in the same way. Finding that brewed coffee beans did not secrete the same chemicals as black and green teas, coffee drinkers consequently were not able to produce the same antigenic response to foreign bacteria. Also, according to the book, "No-Grain Diet" by Dr. Joseph Mercola, it appears that drinking coffee may interfere with your body's ability to keep cholesterol levels in check, most likely by inhibiting the action of the vitamins.
