The Industrial Revolution played a big part in world history. Industrialization changed people's lives and standard of living by moving them out of farms to work in the industry in the city. Large factories and machinery were a part of people's everyday life. The Industrial Revolution completely changed peoples way of living and brought money into the economy.
             Hard work was replaced by newly invented machinery. A large percentage of farmers began working on industry, there by improving their standard of living. Products were producing in large quantities and quickly. At first cotton cloth was made by domestic workers or made outside the country. The spinning wheel machine was later invented. Clothes were made to be light (not heavy), clean, and bright. In 1793, Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin. This separated the seeds from the cotton fibers. This machine reduced the cost of making raw cotton for the market. As a result, the textile industry grew into big business. This is important because it demonstrates how machinery made life easier. People in great numbers were able to become wage earners. The standard of living improved because goods were made better at low prices. Henry Ford is famous for the Model T car. People were able to buy because their earnings were growing. This shows that mass production made products sell and kept jobs growing. This also affected the population growth in cities. Machinery improved peoples lives by giving jobs and making products that improved the standard of living.
