Lord of the Flies

             Lord of the Flies which is written by William Golding is a fun and exciting book.
             The author uses a few young adults and children to show how the world reacts to danger. Furthermore, he is very cruel to show savageness present in human beings. This book ultimately deceives the way one acts when confronted with a problem.
             The story starts out with the kids trying to find one another after having their plane shot down. They make a fire in order to try and be saved which does not seem rewarding for the trouble which they go through. Early in the story, a passing boat does not detect them due to the fact their signal fire died while many of them were hunting for pigs. Throughout the story, the little ones are deeply afraid of the "beast" which turns out to be inside all of them rather than a single figure. A washed up man which has a parachute reminds them that their actually is a real war while they begin to quarrel with one another. They participate in many tribal dances which get very rough and usually end in bruising which further shows their evil rising. They move into two gangs and many are killed. When they eventually figure out who the real savage is, it is almost too late. They are saved by a navy cruiser passing by and are deeply grateful, but still most likely ahead for a further journey in a real war.
             The main protagonist of this story is Ralph which represents civil nature which is quite the opposite of the antagonist, Jack. Simon, which is more the quiet type is a good over looker for the children and treats them well until he is attacked and killed while being mistaken for the beast. Piggy, which stays with Ralph until she is killed by a boulder threw by Roger, is very loyal to him and is very head smart.
