Every political party that ruled these countries had a different idea, and that formed the basis for these claims. Over changing times, morals and ethics were lost and now it has become a matter of ego in the world arena.
             "The uncompromising attitude is more indicative of an inner uncertainty than a deep conviction. The implacable stand is directed more against the doubt within than the assailant without. "
             As for the Kashmiris themselves, most would like to be left alone by both the stakeholders. These conflicting visions and unclear foundations have resulted in three wars in the last 55 years. Today, nothing is certain in this region except uncertainty.
             After the tensions between the countries reached tormenting heights last year, the "peace" that prevails now is a ticking time bomb. A pull of the trigger by a frustrated soldier somewhere in the valleys can push these nations to their limits. May be more such soldiers are justifiably frustrated, since nobody knows what they are betting their life on. As they put their lives at stake in this perennial feud, they can only hope that the stakes on Kashmir are reduced through their fighting – a distant dream, as it has been all these years.
             The people of Kashmir, who bear continuous witness to the creation of nameless graves, seem to have no refuge from the perilous life.
