The Effect of 9/11 on America's Economy

             On September 11, 2001 as ordinary people prepared for their work days, faceless cowards attacked New York City, where I lived most of my life. They crashed, hijacked commercial jetliners into the 2 towers that comprised the World Trade Center. This killed all on board, hundreds of emergency personnel and thousands of innocent fellow New Yorkers, fellow Americans who had done nothing to these evil cowards. 8000 elementary school children who attend schools in the shadow of the twin towers had to be evacuated. The people on those jetliners, the people inside the twin towers, the emergency personnel that raced to the scene, the people who love and work here and those 8000 children do not make Middle East policy but that didn't concern the terrorists at all because they felt they had to make their point.
             These same cowards hijacked 2 more commercial jetliners and crashed one into the Pentagon killing several hundred more people just to prove they could. Had it not been for the heroics of the passengers on the hijacked jetliners who knows what other targets may have been hit.
             We will rebuild the towers and our lives; we will rebuild the damaged pentagon. The terrorists failed in their mission to destroy us. They have made us stronger not weaker. At a time we chose we the United States of America will get every last one of the terrorists and we will give you jihad that you can't win. To the innocent victims whose lives were taken, to the heroes who gave their lives you will never be forgotten. On September 11, 2001, another day that will go down in infamy, we witnessed the contrast between those so possessed by evil they are willing to die in order to murder innocent victims and those good, dedicated, and caring human beings who are willing to sacrifice their lives in order to save the lives of others.
