             For all freshman students, entering college is a new experience. Classes are more challenging and more difficult. For some of the classes, you may be in a large lecture hall, taking notes alongside 175 others, which is totally different from what you have been accustomed to in high school. Therefore, a lot of communication with your professors will be nonverbal, and discussion with your classmates will only be possible after class. Remember, you are not only new to the college, but also new to the teachers, campus and facilities. You are not studying at home, but in a tiny room with irresponsible roommates. With all these hindrances in your new college life, you need a set of new study strategies to prepare for your important exams.
             The process of preparing for an important exam consists of six major steps:
             1. To start with, allow yourself plenty of time for each revision period, for example, 4 weeks. Avoid last-minute cramming!!!
             You should first start with short daily review sessions, so that you can ease into more intensive review sessions three weeks prior to the major exams. If you have not studied much during the semester, it may be especially difficult to study for several hours at a time. Starting your revision with long study periods is likely to leave you mentally exhausted before it is all over.
             1. Take all of your course outlines and mark all of your test dates and due dates on your calendar for the semester. Then do a weekly plan sheet.
             To set up a study schedule, first analyze the study needs per class. (Generally 2 - 3 hours of studying is required for each hour you spend in class. If you are taking 15 semester hours of coursework, you will need 30 - 45 hours of studying per week. Harder courses require more time)
             1. Block in your study time for each course and remember to allow time for all other necessities e.g. classes, assignments, meals, rest (about 10 minutes for each study hour) or recreation, and ...
