Where's Dinner
"Where's the Beef," "It's finger licking good," and "We treat you right." It is amazing that these little phrases can make a person hungry. Maybe that part of our brain that craves food has been altered in some way since the fast food industry was first introduced to Americans. Society doesn't realize how fast food has affected our lives. The fast paced world we live in, accompanied with being bombarded by fast food has made us an unhealthy society that has very little family interaction.
It seems that our criteria for life is that we have to be in a hurry and on the go for about eighteen hours a day, six days a week. If there are two parents in a home, the father works late trying to achieve the American dream, and the mom has to work out side the home in order to make ends meet. Although most moms should bear the title "Super Mom," it's still hard for them to get off of work just in time to get the kids picked up and to the soccer field so they don't miss practice. At 6:30 p.m., soccer practice gets over but Super Mom has to have little Amy at gymnastics by 7:15 p.m., on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; little Bobby has to be at judo practice at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. Soccer games, gymnastics competitions, and judo tournaments take place on Saturday and the seventh day is set aside for church. It's no wonder that Super Mom feeds the family super-sized burgers and fries.
There is always an abundance of super deals for fast food. In fact, there is no denying that we are bombarded by it. Advertisement tactics that are used by the fast food industry seem to be very affective.
