             Interests of some of the boys extend beyond the level of computer talks and gaming. By keeping in touch with general developments in computing as well as being aware of its history, certain guys are being identified as self-styled 'experts' such as hackers endeavouring to break into protected software. In much the same manner as some adult computer buffs, these more enthusiastic techno nerds have lamented the fact that much of their classroom discussions are not limited to games. The members of this nerd culture originated the term 'hacker'. Hackers built the Internet. Hackers made the Unix operating system what it is today. Hackers run Usenet. Hackers make the World Wide Web work. Hackers are computer geeks who know almost everything about computers (both hardware and software) and are widely respected for their wide array of knowledge. Hackers know everything about the way software or an application works. They have this uncanny ability of finding out ways of doing the impossible. They do not accept software applications in the form they are meant to be in but more often they find the ways of making software work the way they want it to. They debug the codes and use trial and error methods to discover the unknown and new tricks and secrets. They do try to break into system but have the decency not to cause any damage or steal passwords etc, but report whole vulnerabilities to system administrators. They always try to break free from restrictions and discover the unknown. Hackers are a unique breed. Combining intelligence, personality, and a morale sense of good taste.
             A Hacker enjoys the environment that appeals to him the most. Such as, the computer room, the arcade and science labs. They like to be alone. Secluded in their own thoughts, thinking how to fix a computer bud or how to repair an electronic part. All hackers are either college-degreed or self-educated to an equivalent level.
