ut it was kind of weird. All of the adults were in the back while there was about 30-40 young children up in front. These children were I'd say 6-10 years old. I looked at the bulletin and it said there was a children's sermon for ten minutes before the mass started. I asked someone why they were doing this, and supposedly there is Sunday school so the kids aren't usually present during this 9:30 A.M. service. Other than this particular service, the kids are usually present. The gender distribution within the church was pretty even (50-50 men and women). With all of the nice cars I saw in the parking lot, I knew I would see plenty of nice clothes, and I did. Most if not all of the women were wearing nice dresses of some sort, while the men wore nice suits with ties. The kids my age were wearing jeans or khakis of some sort, while the young children wore their toddler dress clothes.
             I always thought the Catholic church I attended was pretty luxurious, but this church was also pretty nice. The sanctuary had wooden arches and very high ceilings. The pews we sat in were wood with red plush cushions to sit on. They were very comfortable. In fact, I didn't get bleacher butt like I usually do at my church. The carpet was a brownish color, and there were two preacher podiums on the left and right side up at the altar or the front of the church. There was a scene of the last supper carved into wood on the mantle up front, and candles on each side. There was some kind of tapestry work hanging down the left and right side walls of the church.
