Define the organization's strategic philosophy.
             The Strategic philosophies are the core and fundamental statements that define any organization. It can be used to describe the purpose of an organization and its aspirations. The American Red Cross Strategic Plan is built upon the Fundamental Principles of the International Movement, the Congressional Charter and the American Red Cross Mission Statement.2
             In reading the Strategic Plan of American Red Cross it is my belief that they strive to be the leader in mobilizing communities to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters and other life-threatening emergencies.3 The American Red Cross is a conduit for Americans to help themselves and others in their communities, their country and throughout the world. They strive to be a leading resource and advocate for enabling people to prevent and prepare for emergency situations. They are a leader and collaborative partner in the nation's network for disaster response and homeland security. They enable military families to communicate with their loved ones in emergency situations. They focus efforts on assuring patient needs for the safest blood supply possibles are fulfilled.
