             1. The room arrangement in Mrs. Erickson's seventh and eighth grade health classes has changed multiple times since I began working in her classroom. When I first started my field experience, the desks were arranged in semicircular pattern facing the podium in front where Mrs. Erickson stood. This arrangement seemed to hold the students' attention because they always faced the teacher. Within a week, the seating arrangement changed from the semicircular pattern to several clusters of desks spread throughout the room. This seemed to be effective at keeping the students on task because the students were working on group projects at this time, and they all sat with their groups. Within the next couple weeks, the desks were arranged so that they all faced the rear of the classroom. This arrangement also seemed to be very effective in keeping the attention of the students because it forced them to face the teacher, but also allowed for a change from the same old routine to keep the kids from getting bored.
             2. Nearly all the students in the classes I've worked with throughout the semester have shown in one way or another that they're motivated to do well in health. Mrs. Erickson has a knack for keeping students on task and motivating them to do well. She expects a lot from her students but does not force them to do a lot. This expectation alone seems to be a more than sufficient motivation for her students.
             3. The exceptional learners in Mrs. Erickson's classroom don't seem to stand out as much as they would in another classroom. With the large amount of group work and interdependent group learning, the exceptional learners aren't very easy to identify at first.
