             Another point is from more of a religious view. In the bible Jesus states, "...turn the other cheek..." Now, according to my beliefs, it is wrong to kill. So, what does killing another person really do? Yes, it does completely eliminate any chances that person has of ever committing the crime again. But, does the criminal murdering one person/persons justify the government killing the criminal. In my eyes, they are both in the wrong. I see it as only God should make the choice of whether one should live or die. The government makes the laws, so that gives them the right to bend them too? If you are a religious person, such as myself, then you may see it from my point of view. God clearly states in the Ten Commandments: "Thou shall not murder." I just don't understand how the criminal is wrong for killing whoever they killed, but the government is innocent for sentencing the criminal to death. Since when was it their place to make the decision of whether the criminal lives or dies? If they say it is illegal to commit homicide,
