Sex Education(against)

             Sex education is instruction about sex and human sexuality. Parent and child have a bond of sexuality that is formed from the moment of creation; this bond can only be shared between the parent and child. How can one's sexuality, or sex itself be taught to a child by a complete stranger? It should be taught between the people who hold that bond. Sex is something that is private, a child should have the opportunity to ask questions freely and not feel intimidated because his/her peer might find it amusing.
             Most people argue that children need moral guidance, based upon religious principles, only parents can provide this guidance. The U.S has more than double the teenage pregnancy rate of any western industrialized country, with more than a million teenagers becoming pregnant each year. Teenagers have the highest rates of sexually transmitted diseases (STD's) of any age group, with one in four young people contracting an STD by the age of 21. In 1994, 417 new AIDS cases were diagnosed among 13-19 year olds, and 2,684 new cases among 20-24 year olds. Since infection may occur up to 10 years before an AIDS diagnosis, most of those people were infected with HIV either as adolescents or pre-adolescents
             We should do everything possible to suppress teenage sexual behavior. The school systems only assume that almost every teenager are sexually active and they do not inform them about abstinence. The distribution of contraceptive promotes sexual behavior, when a condom is given to a teenager the only thing that comes to mind is to try and experience this great act called sex, that the health teacher is telling them to do but safely.
             Children are sexually miseducated. There is a story about sex as a way to show love, but no story about commitment as a way to show love. There is an effort to give children positive messages about expressing sexuality, but no effort to give children positive messages about the...
