If I was directing this play, I would distinguish Demetrius and Lysander, two lovers by giving them different names, personalities, intonations, and actions. For Demetrius, I will make him a person who speaks with heaviness, and make him act like a big jerk. I will also make him always trying to stick close to Hermia, and trying to maker her like him when she really doesn't. I will make him higher than higher class, and make him seem like he is perfect, but really he is cruel hearted inside. I will make people feel like he's such a snob and a poor gentleman when he is around Helena. I will make him talk and treat her like dirt, but when he is with Hermia, he will try to act all candy sweet and innocent. He will also act very gentleman like around elders, especially Hermia's father, just to impress him and make he's father in love with him. When he is around Lysander, he will try to act tough and speak wisely so he can try and make Lysander jealous and mad.
             For Lysander, I will make him a same intonation, action, and feeling like person through out the day. He, essentially, will be a middle-high class, who has the positive attitude, money, class...etc. He is pure good hearted with happiness and positive thoughts. He will act normally to anyone, even to Hermia's father. He will act the person he is and treat no one else differently except Hermia. He will love her with care, and take care of her for life. When he is around Demetrius, he will still treat him with a bit of respect, but defend himself in a mannerly way. He knows that Hermia loves her, and he loves Hermia, but Demetrius loved Helena, deserted her, loves Hermia, and also loves her father, which is not a sign of true love.
